The South East Asia Mathematics Team Olympiad (SEAMTO) is an international math competition for students from Grade 3 to Senior Secondary levels. It promotes mathematical excellence, teamwork, and global collaboration while also highlighting Southeast Asian tourism. The contest has two stages: an online National Round and a face-to-face International Round. SEAMTO combines individual skill and teamwork, encouraging problem-solving, communication, and strategic thinking among young mathematicians worldwide.

GUIDELINES

The International Round consists of 30 answer-only questions, where teams collaborate to submit a single answer
sheet. Each team works together to solve the problems and consolidate their responses, reinforcing teamwork and strategic problem-solving. The total possible score for this round is 100 points per team, making precision and coordination essential for success.

Each participant’s test booklet for the written test is provided with the following guidelines:

A. Primary Levels (Grades 3 to 6)

1. You have 90 minutes to finish the test.
2. You may write your solutions on the
TEST BOOKLET.
3. Write your answers on the
ANSWER SHEET.
4. After the test, you must
SUBMIT to the proctor both the TEST BOOKLET and the ANSWER SHEET.
5. This test covers FIVE (5) CATEGORIES, namely:
ARITHMETIC& NUMBER THEORY, LOGICAL ANALYSIS, GEOMETRY,
COMBINATORICS, and HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS
.
6. This test is an answer-only type of test. The first twenty (20) questions are worth 3 points each, while the last ten questions (10 are worth 4 points each). The highest possible score is 100 marks. No point shall be deducted for an incorrect answer.
7. You are
NOT ALLOWED to use any calculating device during the test proper.
8. Any form of cheating is a ground for
DISQUALIFICATION.
